The story defines the systems
A system should support the mission, not replace it. Before building a workflow, rhythm, dashboard, content plan, or operating process, the leader needs to know what the system is supposed to protect and advance.
What unclear systems usually reveal
When a system feels too heavy, the problem may not be the tool. It may be that ownership, priority, timing, or outcome was never clearly decided.
- Who owns the next step?
- What outcome matters most?
- What should happen repeatedly?
- What needs to stop passing through the leader every time?
- What level of quality is actually required?
A simple system is enough when the decision is clear
Once the decision is named, the system can usually become simpler. The goal is not to create a perfect machine. The goal is to create enough structure for the right work to keep moving.
Clearer decisions make simpler systems possible.
